The Young Catholic Professionals of St. Mary's Catholic Church Isolo had her Annual Success Summit on Saturday July 9, 2015 . The event was held in Fr. Dory Hall of the Ultra Modern Social Complex. Its an annual program organized by the Directorate of Professional Development of YCP to help individuals develop and utilize the resources and talents in them and achieve their professional success.
First presentation was on Professional Growth, Personality Profiling And Successful Business Tips for Business Owners presented by Mr. Obinna Emmanuel Okoro, CEO, HDM Nigeria (PTI) Limited. He explained the tools to achieving success, critical success factors( goal setting, unlocking your passion, communication, academic, emotional and financial intelligence, personal power, leadership skills and persistence). Professional growth needs effective Planning, risk taking, mentorship role model and be flexible in your plan for success. There's also development opportunities to put in place for achieving success. Personality profile is just knowing your passion, career and especially the reason God made you. In summary he advised that for maximum achievement of success you need not be so serious or rigid but be flexible and mix up with quality friends to make that career that will give you joy.
The second presentation was done by Mr. Earl Ugochukwu Okezie on twenty attributes of an exceptional professional. Those are: appearance, demeanor, reliability, competence ethics, maintaining your poise, phone etiquette, written communication, organizational skills, accountability, familiar story, confidence, adaptability, social skills, optimistic, intuitive, compassionate, mindful, kaizen, emotional intelligence.
Mr. Olanrewaju Mabinuori gave four major elements that will help one become a star in life as he drives his business. They are: business culture, business processes, technology, people you bring on board.
