President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja early this morning,
July 23, following his official four-day visit to the United States of
America.The president was warmly welcomed by his vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
At the visit Buhari met with US President Barack Obama at the White House and asked for US support in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents and also to meet with members of
Congress, the Cabinet, and the World Bank. He held a town hall meeting with Nigerians on July 21.
His next visit probably will be Cameroon in a bid to further strengthen “sub-regional efforts at countering terrorism”.
