The meeting was summoned by the President himself for APC Lawmakers to seek way to resolve the leadership crisis in the lower chamber.  The meeting was held yesterday July 27, 2015 but unfortunately it came to an end in a deadlock with both factions, the Yakubu Dogara faction and Femi Gbajabiamila faction, who refuse to bulge and stick to their different positions. President Buhari however cleave for respect of the party's decision.

The house has been in a lingering crisis after the Dogara faction rejected APC's decision to make Femi Gbajabiamila the House Majority leader.
