It was glamorous and fun filled day for the children of St. Mary's Catholic Church Isolo as they celebrates children's day. The theme for this year's children's day is "Evils of technology on children".
Activities that boosted the event were drama presentations from the Altar Servers and Junior Lectors revolving on the theme of the event. Other excitements were cultural dance, choreography presentations from St. Marello Children's Choir, Tarcesians, Junior Church Wardens, and Altar Servers. Recitation of the 15 promises of Our Mother Mary to anyone who recites the Rosary daily was done by the Block Rosary Crusade while the 12 Tribes of Israel was recited And demonstrated by the Children Ministry of the Charismatics.
The climax of the day was fashion parade/beauty contest that was done by the children and Ifunanya Chilaka won the Princess of St. Mary's while Tochukwu Iheanacho won the Prince.
The parish priest Rev. Fr. Ethelbert Arua, OSJ, the parish Laity Council Chairman Mr. Cyril Odidika, General Purpose Committee Chairman of the parish Mr. Patrick Osakwe and host of other dignitaries, parents and friends were in attendance. Several companies like; Emzor Phamacitical Industry, VIP Industries makers of Topklass products, Dangote Plc, individuals, families etc supported the event with promotional and gift items.
