Five Men Decides To Honour President-Elect, Muhammudu Buhari As They Arrange To Trek From Nigeria To Mecca for Pilgrimage
The five men, according to the Daily Post announced to newsmen in Bauchi on Sunday, that they will be trekking from Nigeria to the holy city of Mecca. The men explained that they will be trekking because of the love they have for Buhari.
Daily post identified the men as; Mohammed Inuwa, 45, Dahiru Aminu, 33, Abdullahi Usseini, 45, Abubakar Danjuma, 45, and Kabiru Saleh , 35.
Mohammed Inuwa, who spoke on behalf of the trekkers said: “He has tried to be president for 12 years but Allah did not make it to be possible. We believe he always won because he had the support of the majority. This time around Allah has given him the power and so we decided to trek to Mecca by road to register our unflinching support to General Buhari”
They said they were ready to give their lives for the mission and prayed Allah will protect them on their journey as they show their appreciation for Buhari.
The men said they will be taking the route of Sudan and Chad before reaching Mecca. They said friends and families were consulted over their decision and they were given the go ahead.
The men announced that their trek will begin on May 30, 2015, which is a day after the swearing-in of the incoming government.
