She said it was impossible for an incumbent president to lose a Presidential election and pledged that if Jonathan lose she would trek from Minna to Abuja to personally congratulate Buhari. She made this bet when she was heavily expectant.

According to an interview with Newsline, she gave birth to her last baby girl on April 2, 2015, and she was determined to fulfill her promise as General Buhari has won the President-elect.
The mother of 40days daughter Mrs. Alice, told Newsline that her husband, family and friends tried to stop her from embarking on her journey, but she insisted because she has made up her mind to fulfill the bet she made.
When asked of the health hazard of her mission both on her and her newly born baby girl, considering the tenderness of the baby, she expressed optimism that nothing would happen to them. Her primary interest is just to accomplish her mission.
She started her journey at about 6:00am on Sunday, from Chanchaga bridge. According to her she is enjoying the experience so far. She turned down motorists that offered her lifts but collected gifts of cash as she mourned. She is determined to trek to Abuja like others.
