
According to the Borno State Government, all the 293 rescued women and girls from Sambisa Forest are indigenes of
Bumsiri Village of Damboa Local Government in Borno
State.
The state’s Commissioner for Information, Mohammed Bulama, made known this known on Tuesday while promising the rescued girls will soon be reunited with their families.
Although no picture nor videos of the rescued women and girls have been
shown to the public, the people are happy that some persons held captive
have found freedom, whether or not they are the Chibok girls.
According to the Defence Headquarters, the women were found at Tokumbere
camp, inside Sambisa Forest . This brings to an end, hopes build by so many Nigerians and others that the
abducted Chibok girls on April 14, 2014 has been rescued. The state’s Commissioner for Information, Mohammed Bulama, made known this known on Tuesday while promising the rescued girls will soon be reunited with their families.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Military has moved the 293 females they rescued two days ago from Sambisa Forest to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital where they are to undergo series of test including HIV and pregnancy tests.
